Miami Music Week
The legendary week in March called Miami Music Week just came to a close. My 30 year old self went a little too crazy but I did it for the fanz!
Miami Music Week is one of the most recognized electronic music events in the world. Artists from around the world come and perform at some of the biggest clubs and parties all throughout Miami. It’s been happening for the last 10 years and only continues to get bigger.
I remember growing up it was just Ultra. Now, it’s become a whole fun week of exciting events that I look forward to every year.
That being said, I had a fab time. Miami is really going all out for these events and it’s really inspiring to see the crowd and artists it’s bringing. Yes, the traffic blows, but it’s well worth it.
I luh you miyami <3
This post is going to be more of a photo diary of all the events I went to with some descriptions along the way. I hope you enjoy 8).
Day 1: Hot Since 82 at the Sagamore Hotel
Day 2: What I’m calling, “The Marathon”
First stop was AM.RADIO LA pop up at Zey Zey! I got here late and was only able to see Austin Millz play, but it was still so good. I hope they come back and do more events. Also Zey Zey’s venue is exquisite; I would love to see more artists perform under the Banyan tree.
Stop #2: Las Palmas for RTA Sounds’ party. Such a fun idea to rent out a Cuban cafeteria to throw a party. They even sold croquetas!!!
Stop #3: Soho Beach House to see Laguna Sounds’ set
Post Soho: little snack break
Last stop: Went to see Amtrac for a hot second at the Edition
Last day/Day 3: Sam and I braved out Benny Benassi’s Italo Disco Set with our friend Ali. It was held at Jolene Sound Room, which was the perfect spot for this intimate set. Benny still got it and the openers, DJ Ray and Terence Tabeau, two Miami legends, killed it!
And thennnnn back to reality Monday morning. Apart from that, this MMW really made me fall in love with the music scene in Miami again. Proud to be a true Miami girl and I love to see what the music scene here is bringing to the table.
Wueno baiiiiiiii! hasta la proximaaaa <3
